Immanuel Lutheran Church, Orange, Ca.

Where are the Donofrios going to be this weekend? I'm going to write a little bit about our next stop because it is a very special congregation. As you can see from the picture it is where we got married. But that's not all! Fun fact about us: even though we did not meet until I was 40 we both went to the same church....twice!  Craig and I were members of Immanuel and never met AND Craig and I were members of St Johns...and never met.

My family started attending Immanuel Lutheran when I was a freshman in High School. I started my sophomore year at Lutheran High of OC and my younger sisters transferred to Immanuel Lutheran School. When I graduated from College with a degree in music I started working at Immanuel as their choir director, organist, and school music teacher.  After two years I moved on and became a public school music teacher and Craig started attending Immanuel. The congregation supported him through seminary when he decided he wanted to be a pastor. My mom and dad were faithful members at Immanuel for many years and it was in this sanctuary where we said goodbye to them when they went to their heavenly homes in 2011 and 2012. Even though Craig and I have moved to a new state and have had many new adventures, Immanuel is "home" for both of us. We both look forward to our homecoming on Sunday!!

  1. Well, I loved the things about this church and your writing. For the financial security by church loan in USA, the market for church loan is no more smaller. Churches now can have huge opportunity.
